DCP — Digital Cinema Package
If you're submitting your film to a festival or booking a cinema screening, you're going to need a DCP.
A DCP is a carefully structured package of files: your picture, encoded at high resolution; your audio, uncompressed; your subtitles, if you have them. It can also be encrypted, so that it will only play on authorised screens during authorised windows — useful if you're concerned about security, and sometimes required by distributors.
The good news is that you don't need to know any of this in detail. That's what I'm here for.
I produce DCPs from your finished edit or grade, and I'll make sure everything is built to the correct specification for your intended venue or festival. If you need encryption and KDMs — the digital keys that unlock the package for specific screenings — I can take care of those too.
